St. Anthony's School is the recipient of a very generous donation by the Bishop Fitzgerald Middle School (in Gibraltar) and Action4Schools. They donated the funds and coordination to install a new well at the school, providing water for the nearly 3,000 schoolkids. Currently, the only source of water at the school is a cistern that collects rainwater from the roof, dependent on rainfall to keep up with a heavy demand for water. Action4Schools is just one of a number of charity organizations started by Jimmy Bruzon supporting schools and improving the lives of school-aged children in Sierra Leone. Jimmy is new to us, but he's been working on relief projects in Sierra Leone for nearly a decade. We are so fortunate that Jimmy found Hope for Lives and offered to build the well at St. Anthony's School.
This new well will ensure that the kids have a regular supply of drinking water.
